Notes

  • The first episode for the Liberator’s computer Zen as well as the first one where the name Liberator is used.
  • The first time the teleport and the handguns are used.
  • Pamela Salem played Kara.  She appeared in the Doctor Who stories “The Face of Evil” & “The Robots of Death“.
  • Brian Blessed appears here as King Vargas.  He’s been in a TON of things,  but for me personally, I know him from the first series of Black Adder, Prince Vultan in Flash Gordon 1980, and King Yrcanos in the Mindwarp segment of Doctor Who’s “The Triad of a Time Lord”.  The Doctor Who story had dialogue addressing how loud his character was!

#B7Marathon #Blakes7 Ep 3 - "Cygnus Alpha" - 16 Jan 1978 2/2 none other than the always LOUD Brian Blessed. The drama is getting out from under his thumb and escaping before Avon gets too nervous & runs off with the ship. They dispatch him in a very non Star Trek way by teleporting him into space!
