Notes
- LeVar Burton returns as Geordi LaForge, his first appearance since Star Trek: Nemesis in 2002.
- Brent Spiner returns as Data, Lore, B4, and Alton Soong in this episode. Data was last seen in the Picard Season 1 finale (2020), Lore was last seen in Descent Part II (1993), B4 was last seen in action in Star Trek: Nemesis (2002), but was also seen disassembled in the first episode of Season 1 of Star Trek: Picard (2020). Finally Alton Soong was last seen also in the Picard Season 1 finale (2020).
- Daniel Davis returns as holodeck character James Moriarty – the last time he played him was in 1993’s “Ship in a Bottle“.
- This episode states that James T. Kirk’s remains are no longer on Veridian III (Star Trek: Generations), but being held at the Daystrom Institute. It is not said whether the burial site on that planet is still there.
- We see SEVERAL old ships at the fleet museum. They are: USS Defiant, USS Enterprise NCC-1701A, USS Voyager, HMS Bounty (from Star Trek IV), USS Enterprise NX-01, USS Excelsior, USS Stargazer, USS New Jersey NCC-1975, & Kronos One. Finally, the museum itself is a repurposed space station many times over, last seen in Star Trek VI. The New Jersey is there as a reference back to a Constitution class ship Picard mentions at the fleet museum in the episode “Relics“. Not all of these ships are clearly seen, however.
- During the reveals of some of those ships, we hear the theme songs for The Original Series, Deep Space Nine, Voyager, plus the title theme from Star Trek IV.
- This episode establishes Riker’s birthday as 19 Aug, and his mother’s name as Betty.
- The entire main TNG crew appears in this episode together (although not in the same scene at once) for the first time since 2002’s Star Trek Nemesis (minus Denise Crosby & Wil Wheaton).
- Worf says in this episode it had been 11 years, 5 months, and 4 days since he and Picard had last seen each other.
- Some of the things at Daystom station are the Genesis device, the body of James T. Kirk, and a “genetically modified” Tribble. The last of those sparked a few amusing lines between Riker & Worf.
- LeVar Burton’s real life daughter Mica plays his daughter Alexandra in this episode. The actress Ashley Sharpe Chestnut plays his character’s other daughter Sidney. In behind the scenes stuff, LeVar has said they’ve become very close and they treat Ashley as another daughter.
- It is established that Geordi’s rank is Commodore in this episode.

The latter is where the story picks up Geordi. It turns out they were after Picard's OG body from s1. We also run into a Soong android that looks like Data.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Picard Ep 26 - The Bounty - 23 Mar 2023 2/2 I love they take the time to pick up all the threads from Data's two deaths, B4, Lore, & Lal. Brent Spiner was awesome as all his characters at once. The Jack story is building towards something big. Riker captured at end was 🔥
