• The first episodes for Roj Blake, Jenna Stannis, & Vila Restal.
• The first of 14 episodes in a row written by Terry Nation which carries us into series B.
• The only episode of the entire series without Paul Darrow’s Avon.
• Michael Halsey palys Varon.  He also played Zee in “Gambit“.
• Some of the sofas in this episode appeared in the Doctor Who episode “Robots of Death“.
• Martin Jarvis was considered for the role of Roj Blake.  Jarvis would later appear in the Doctor Who episode “Vengeance on Varos“.
• There is a character here named Dev Tarrant.  According to on screen canon there is no connection between him and the series regular of Del Tarrant in Series C & D of the show.  However, Big Finish has retconned the character in this episode to be the older brother of the latter.
