- A loose sequel to the David Tennant episode “Midnight“, roughly 400,000 years after the former. Some archive footage appears here from that episode.
- Aliss was played by Rose Ayling-Ellis, who is actually deaf, she’s not just acting that.
- The Britney Spears song “Toxic” is heard in this episode. It was previously heard in the episode “The End of the World”.
- Some of the location filming was done in the same place location filming was done for “Power of the Doctor“. (Pant-y-Ffynnon Quarry in Wales)
- Christopher Chung (who plays Cassio) had previously auditioned (but did not get cast) in the Capaldi episode “Knock Knock“.

#DoctorWhoMarathon Ep 893 - The Well (Story 315) - 26 Apr 2025 2/2 which is handled VERY well ("Don't turn your back on me!"). I loved the path taken to get to the resolution. It ends with some good conflict, well done character deaths, and sets up "something" that could be followed up on later.
