By Inferno’s Light

This Story: Season 5 Episode 15 (production code 513)
DS9 Overall: Episode 113
Trek Overall: Story 372b, Episode 394
Airdate: 17 Feb 1997
Writer: Ira Steven Behr & Robert Hewitt Wolfe
Director: Les Landau

Notes

  • Second part of a two part story.
  • The Klingon War is officially ended when they become allies of the Federation again.
  • Cardassia joins the Dominion and makes them a major threat.
  • Odo does not appear in this episode.
  • The final episode where anyone (the real Bashir) wears the original DS9 uniforms.
  • The shots of Dukat addressing the Cardassian population are reused shots from “Tribunal” just with Dukat’s face on them instead.
  • The fact that the Jem’Hadar do not destroy the orbiting runabout during this episode is brought up again (but not WHY) in the episode “Inquisition“.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Deep Space Nine Ep 113 - By Inferno's Light - 17 Feb 1997 1/2 Banger of a Part 2. This is seriously densely packed with stuff. Worf, Garak, (real) Bashir, & Martok are held prisoner by the Jem'Hadar, and they spend the ep trying to escape. More good dialogue & character

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Deep Space Nine Ep 113 - By Inferno's Light - 17 Feb 1997 2/2 dev for Garak. A few foundational changes happen in the series - the Klingons become allies of the Federation again, but a Dukat led Cardassia joins the Dominion. As I was recently told - "shit gets real".
