- Second part of a two part story.
- The Klingon War is officially ended when they become allies of the Federation again.
- Cardassia joins the Dominion and makes them a major threat.
- Odo does not appear in this episode.
- The final episode where anyone (the real Bashir) wears the original DS9 uniforms.
- The shots of Dukat addressing the Cardassian population are reused shots from “Tribunal” just with Dukat’s face on them instead.
- The fact that the Jem’Hadar do not destroy the orbiting runabout during this episode is brought up again (but not WHY) in the episode “Inquisition“.
