Deadlock

This Story: Season 2 Episode 21 (production code 137)
VOY Overall: Episode 37
Trek Overall: Story 468, Episode 493
Airdate: 18 Mar 1996
Written by Brannon Braga
Directed by David Livingston

Notes

  • Running fired torpedo count: 11 (7 this episode) / Confirmed crew deaths since pilot: 6 (crew of 148) – The crew complement increases by one with Samantha Wildman’s birth of Naomi.
  • The first time (of five times) we see Voyager destroyed in the series. It is also the second of three times where the self destruct was activated, only this time it wasn’t canceled.
  • The first time (of two) that Janeway meets herself.  The other time is the finale.
  • The second (of three times) that Harry Kim dies.
  • The plot of this episode is rather similar to the DS9 episode “Visionary” where O’Brien dies in that one.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Voyager Ep 37 - Deadlock - 18 Mar 1996 1/2 One of my fav kind of stories - multiple copies of characters. Between the multiple ships, Kim, Janeway, & Voyager itself all "die". Not quite as clean cut as that tho. One of those eps that you can't really watch as background.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Voyager Ep 37 - Deadlock - 18 Mar 1996 2/2 Two memorable things here. Samantha Wildman gives birth, but the Doctor beams the baby out of her for delivery. Second, the Harry Kim that goes on with Voyager after this ep is technically not the same one that started the show.

My prior physical copies of Star Trek: Voyager looked this way.
