Notes

• Running fired torpedo count: 19 / Confirmed crew deaths since pilot: 13 (crew of 141).
• The first of thirteen Voyager episodes directed by Allan Kroeker.
• This is a prequel of sorts to the Voyager two parter next season – “Year of Hell“.  Or that is a sequel to this – unclear which way that is supposed to be.  This manifests as Kes in her time jumps reporting a “Year of Hell” she briefly visited.
• The Year of Hell story was supposed to be the cliffhanger between Seasons 3 & 4, but it was postponed when it was decided to add Seven of Nine to the cast, creating the “Scorpion” two parter.
• The third time (of nine) Janeway is said to have died in an episode, and the first for B’Elanna.
• The final episode that any Ocampa (besides Kes) are seen in the series.
• There are references to, or recreations of several past Voyager episodes – “Caretaker“, “Eye of the Needle“, “Phage“, “Parturition“, & “The Swarm“.
• Harry Kim is promoted to lieutenant in an alternate reality future, which of course doesn’t happen in the primary series timeline.
