- This episode has nothing to do with the TOS novel of the same name – “Doctor’s Orders“.
- The eighth out of ten episodes directed by Voyager’s Roxann Dawson.
- A rare episode with no actual guest stars of any kind – the only people who appear are the Enterprise cast. And Porthos.
- The Phlox nude scene was there because of a flippant remark that John Billingsley made that was written into the episode.
- Dr McCoy’s “I’m a Doctor, not a …..” bit makes its only appearance in Enterprise here.

showcase episode for Billingsley. Another bottle ep with not a huge amount of heavy tie to the Xindi arc. Still, an enjoyable episode just the same. There's a bit of a "Sixth Sense" and "Shatner's Twilight Zone ep" angle to the events of this episode with the crew unconscious. Enjoyable episode.
