Notes

• The second of a three part Vulcan arc – which mostly exists to deal with the complaint in fandom then about “Why do these Vulcans act differently?”.
• The tenth and final episode of Enterprise directed by Voyager’s Roxann Dawson.  It is also to date the final episode in any incarnation of Star Trek she directed.
• T’Pau is played by Kara Zediker for the first of her two on screen appearances (with the other being the next episode).
• The Vulcan (prophet?) Surak appears in this episode.  The only other time he appeared was in a TOS episode “The Savage Curtain“.  Both times they were from an extracted memory of a Human.  This episode it was Archer, and the other was Kirk.
• Surak was played by Bruce Gray.  He was also Admiral Chekote in DS9’s “The Circle” and TNG’s “Gambit, Pt I“.
• The Vulcan Kuvak was played by John Rubinstein.  He was also John Evansville in Voyager’s “The 37’s” and a Mazarite Captain in “Fallen Hero“.
