Notes

• The final episode of Season 3, but not the final episode of the Xindi arc.
• Michael Westmore was nominated for an Emmy Award for this episode for “Outstanding Makeup for a Series, Miniseries, Movie or a Special (Prosthetic)”.
• There were apparently three endings written for this episode, but only one was filmed.
• The window behind Daniels and Archer in this episode is the same one used for the hallway in Enterprise-J in “Azati Prime“.
• It is established that T’Pol is 66 years old in this episode – and the first time she talks to Porthos, amusingly.
• The last episode with any of the Xindi or the Sphere-Builders except for a cameo in a nightmare sequence in “Home“.
• I think this is the only episode of Star Trek whose title starts with a Z, but “The Lights of Zetar” has a Z in it.
• The fifth of ten appearances of Jeffrey Combs as Shran.
• Given everything this episode did, I was a little surprised they didn’t have an extended length episode, it’s the standard 42 minutes.
• The three Xindi reptilians that ate mice in the teaser sequence gave me huge flashbacks to “V: The Series”. :)
