Notes

  • Ira Graves was played by W Morgan Shephard. He was also Qatai In Voyager’s “Bliss“, the Klingon commander of Rura Penthe in Star Trek VI, and an unnamed Vulcan minister in Star Trek (2009).  He was also the older version of Canton Everett Delaware III in the Doctor Who episode “The Impossible Astronaut“.
  • The first appearance of Suzie Plakson in Star Trek.  This time as a Vulcan doctor – “Selar”.  She would later go on to play K’Ehleyr, Worf’s mate and the mother of his child.  This is the only episode Selar appears in, but she is name dropped in many future episodes, just not seen.
  • Tasha Yar is shown in a flashback sequence.

Data is taken over by a Dr Graves - a trope I'm already tired of. Graves' plan is to transfer his mind into someone else, and given he knew Soong, he sees Data as a prime target for this. Problem is I do pic.twitter.com/QKavE6VjWo

not really care for the "take over Data" thing. Ep was disinteresting to me. I do like W Morgan Shephard, just not here. Dr Selar has her only appearance here, but we do see Suzie Plakson later on. pic.twitter.com/6TJqX9pieZ
