Revulsion

This Story: Season 4 Episode 5 (production code 173)
VOY Overall: Episode 73
Trek Overall: Story 501, Episode 529
Airdate: 1 Oct 1997
Written by Lisa Klink
Directed by Kenneth Biller

Notes

  • Running fired torpedo count: 23 / Confirmed crew deaths since pilot: 13 (crew of 141 – departure of Kes).
  • It is said that it’s just been three days since the events of “Day of Honor“, but the episode “Nemesis” happens in-between them. Originally this episode was supposed to be broadcast in a different order.
  • Tuvok is promoted to Lt. Commander in this episode.  Additionally, Neelix gets an official commission as an ambassador.
  • The last episode where Seven wears the silver outfit.
  • The events of the episodes “Day of Honor” and “Alter Ego” are recalled here.
  • Leland Orser played Dejaren here.  He was also the Vulcan Look in DS9’s “The Die is Cast“, Gai in DS9’s “Sanctuary“, and Loomis in Enterprise’s “Carpenter Street“.  He was also in one of my favorite movies – “Independence Day“.
  • The eventual astrometrics lab on the ship is referenced here in that Harry & Seven come up with construction plans for it.  It’s used quite a lot in seasons to come.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Voyager Ep 73 - Revulsion - 1 Oct 1997 2/2 to copulate". Which he SHOULD have said yes to! The main plot is about a hologram whose crew "died" (more like murdered). In some ways it reminded me of the OG story of Kryten from Red Dwarf except more "murder-y". Ep just "ok".

The last we see of Seven’s “silver” outfit – it is retired after this episode.

My prior physical copies of Star Trek: Voyager looked this way.
