Retrospect

This Story: Season 4 Episode 17 (production code 185)
VOY Overall: Episode 85
Trek Overall: Story 511, Episode 540
Airdate: 25 Feb 1998
Story by Andrew Shepard Price & Mark Gaberman
Teleplay by Bryan Fuller & Lisa Klink
Directed by Jesús Salvador Treviño

Notes

  • Running fired torpedo count: 23 / Confirmed crew deaths since pilot: 15 (crew of 146 (my count says 139)).
  • This episode had a working title of “Mnemonic”.
  • The cockpit of Kovin’s ship is apparently a re-use of the same set from Future’s End (I & II).
  • There is a quick line of dialogue referencing the way Janeway & Seven’s relationship ended in the prior episode.  IMO, it was glossed over, they should have waited a few episodes to do this.
  • Kovin was played by Michael Horton.  He also played Daniels in Star Trek: Insurrection.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Voyager Ep 85 - Retrospect - 25 Feb 1998 2/2 some new stuff the Doctor is trying. It ends poorly with the death of the visitor of which both the Doctor & Seven feel guilty for. It has kind of an open ending, where it's not wrapped up. Had an odd date rape feel to it.

My prior physical copies of Star Trek: Voyager looked this way.
