Nothing Human

This Story: Season 5 Episode 8 (production code 200)
VOY Overall: Episode 102
Trek Overall: Story 528, Episode 558
Airdate: 2 Dec 1998
Written by Jeri Taylor
Directed by David Livingston

Notes

  • Running fired torpedo count: 40 / Confirmed crew deaths since pilot: 19 (crew of 140 (my count says 134) – but is 127?).
  • A working title for this episode was “Not Human”.
  • This is Jeri Taylor’s first script for Voyager after stepping down as one of the show’s producers following last season’s finale. It was also her last – she wrote no more for Star Trek after this, although she did remain on the credits as a producer, despite retiring from that role.
  • The character of Tabor later reappears in the episode “Repression“.
  • This episode has a lot similar plot points to the episode “Jetrel“.
  • The only episode of Voyager that deals with events in the past of the Cardassion occupation of Bajor (for obvious reasons).
  • The alien ship in this episode visually reminds me of the creature/ship from the TNG episode “Tin Man“.

He finds info from an infamous Cardassian Doctor that could save her, but the Doctor is the Cardassian version of the Nazi Josef

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Voyager Ep 102 - Nothing Human - 2 Dec 1998 2/2 Mengele. The info WILL save her, but B'Elanna & many of the crew don't want the info used at all. The bulk of this ep is ethical debates. There's also a big Janeway command decision. Very talky ep - but some good drama.

My prior physical copies of Star Trek: Voyager looked this way.
