Imperfection

This Story: Season 7 Episode 2 (production code 248)
VOY Overall: Episode 148
Trek Overall: Story 571, Episode 604
Airdate: 11 Oct 2000
Story by André Bormanis
Teleplay by Carleton Eastlake & Robert Doherty
Directed by David Livingston

Notes

  • Running fired torpedo count: 66.  This contradicts the hard limit set in “The Cloud” of 38.
  • The only credited episode in any incarnation of Star Trek by Carleton Eastlake.
  • The events of this episode are recalled in the Star Trek Picard episode “Stardust City Rag“, which also features a cameo by Icheb, also played there by Manu Intiraymi.
  • The final appearances of the BorgKids Mezoti, Azan, & Rebi.
  • Several of the names of people who died as crew members of Voyager are actually names from the TV show “The West Wing“.
  • Tom Paris is wearing a wedding ring in this episode, but he and B’Elanna don’t get married until the next episode.
  • Chakotay says “It’s not every day we go looking for the Borg” here, but they did exactly that in the last episode. :)
  • B’Elanna’s thoughts on her afterlife seem to conflict with what we learned in the episode “Barge of the Dead“.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Voyager Ep 148 - Imperfection - 11 Oct 2000 1/2 Other than the departure of three of the BorgKids, I didn't remember anything about this. Turns out it's about some of Seven's Borg tech malfunctioning and it's a race against time to get her a new one before she dies.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Voyager Ep 148 - Imperfection - 11 Oct 2000 2/2 That's the extent of the story. Not deep, but an enjoyable ride. Lots of time spent on Seven's character - again. IMO, at the expense of others (like Chakotay who hasn't had any big character development in forever).

My prior physical copies of Star Trek: Voyager looked this way.
