Repression

This Story: Season 7 Episode 4 (production code 251)
VOY Overall: Episode 150
Trek Overall: Story 573, Episode 606
Airdate: 25 Oct 2000
Story by Kenneth Biller
Teleplay by Mark Haskell Smith
Directed by Winrich Kolbe

Notes

  • Running fired torpedo count: 67.  This contradicts the hard limit set in “The Cloud” of 38.
  • The last episode of the series to be directed by Winrich Kolbe.  He directed 16 episodes of TNG, 13 of DS9, 18 of Voyager, and one of Enterprise.
  • Derek McGrath (Chell) & Jad Mager (Tabor) reprise their roles as former Maquis here after having repeated in “Learning Curve” and “Nothing Human” respectively.
  • Tuvok’s son Sek appears here.  He’s played by Ronald Robinson.  Apparently in the audition process, one actor who tried out was Anthony Mayweather, who later went on to play Travis Mayweather on Enterprise.
  • The name of Chakotay’s ship from the pilot episode is finally named – “Val Jean”.
  • This episode contradicts “Counterpoint“.  That one says there were only two Vulcans on board – Tuvok and Vorik.  One is shown here in the Maquis crew here.
  • Teero is played by Keith Szarabajka.  He is also Damrus in the Enterprise episode “Rogue Planet“.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Voyager Ep 150 - Repression - 25 Oct 2000 1/2 A good Tuvok ep. Someone is going around targeting the former Maquis crew on the ship. Nobody seems to know why, so Tuvok launches an investigation. Love me a good Tuvok ep. I won't ruin the ending, but I totally forgot it,

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Voyager Ep 150 - Repression - 25 Oct 2000 2/2 so that helped the mystery. We see several crew from past eps that we haven't seen in awhile which adds some nice flavor. The ending seemed awfully rushed, could have gone for a second episode, IMO. Quite liked this one.

My prior physical copies of Star Trek: Voyager looked this way.
