• Running Decon Gel Scene Appearances: T’Pol (3), Trip (2), Hoshi (2), Malcolm (1), Archer (1), Porthos (1).  None this episode.
• A working title of this episode was “Crash Landing”.
• As this episode has Tholians, there was some consideration given to having the USS Defiant from “The Tholian Web” appear.  While this didn’t happen here, the concept WAS executed in “In a Mirror Darkly” in Season 4.
• We don’t actually SEE a Tholian, we just hear one.
• An exocomp (originally from TNG’s “The Quality of Life“) is shown on a shelf as a prop here.
• The last time that the database in Crewman Daniels’ quarters is seen.
• Apparently the writer wanted the lost ship to morph into a police box (as it is bigger on the inside), but that was apparently rejected immediately by the producers.
