Carpenter Street

This Story: Season 3 Episode 11 (production code 163)
ENT Overall: Episode 63
Trek Overall: Story 652, Episode 691
Airdate: 26 Nov 2003
Written by Rick Berman & Brannon Braga
Directed by Mike Vejar

Notes

  • Parts of this were filmed on the standing Paramount New York back lot, one scene of which included an exact spot where the 1972 film “The Godfather” was filmed.
  • Phlox, Sato, Mayweather, & Reed do not appear in this episode, although the latter does have some voiceovers.
  • The first episode of any Star Trek series to be rated TV-14, due in part to the prostitution plot line I would imagine.
  • The vehicle that Archer & T’Pol use looks awfully familiar to the one that Tom Paris & Tuvok used in Voyager’s “Future’s End“.  I don’t think it’s actually the same one (in real life), though.
  • Loomis was played by Leland Orser.  He was also Gai in DS9’s “Sanctuary“, the Vulcan Luvok in DS9’s “The Die is Cast“, Dejaren in Voyager’s “Revulsion“.
  • Matt Winston makes his fourth of eight appearances as Daniels in this episode.’
  • We don’t see any of the Enterprise crew until 7:50 into the episode.

Daniels and the overall Temporal Cold war arc, so this is right smack in the middle of both of those. Partially filmed on the standard Paramount NYC lot, so some of this looks familiar. Overall, a fun time travel romp. The WTF is going on wasn't so WTF I lost interest. I quite enjoyed this.
