Notes

• Six months have passed since the events of the last episode and this one.
• The first episode with the “base format” of Discovery – the first two were a prequel of sorts, and with it the first appearance of the USS Discovery.
• The first episode with Tilly, Lorca, & Stamets.
• One of the bridge crew (Keyla Detmer, helm) held the same position on the USS Shenzhou in the prior two episodes.
• Spock’s mother Amanda is mentioned here as Burnham’s foster mother.
• The first of five appearances of Rekha Sharma as Ellen Landry.  While this is her only Trek character, she’s very well known for being Tory Foster in the modern Battlestar Galactica series.  She also appears in the Star Trek Continues fan series episode “Still Treads the Shadow“.
• The first episode with Julianne Grossman as the voice of the USS Discovery computer.  She’s also the voice of the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701) computer when we get to see that later on in the series.
• In the first scene with Lorca, we can hear a tribble purring.
