Notes
- The second of six appearances by Sonja Sohn as Michael Burnham’s mother Gabrielle, and the first one as a full character. She made an extremely quick non speaking appearance in the prior episode.
- The first hint is made here as to Capt Pike’s ultimate fate (as seen in TOS’ “The Menagerie“). Said fate is depicted in the next episode.
- The first time (on screen) that our default/standard/proper version of the universe is referred to as the “prime universe”.
- The seventh (of nine) appearances by Arista Arhin as young Burnham, and the last one with newly filmed footage. The subsequent two appearances are all via archive footage.
- There first seed for the show reboot for Season 3 is set here where one of the Red Angel mission logs is 950 years in the future.

end of the series, so this stuff is great. We also are having problems with Leland, who was attacked in the prior ep, and appears to be a physical manifestation of the "Control" from a few episodes ago. This is another overly talky episode, but I quite liked this a lot. Really good stuff, IMO.
