Fairest of them All

This Story: Episode 3
Trek Overall: Not canon, so no official count.
Airdate: 5 Jun 2014
Teleplay by James Derwin & Vic Mignogna
Story by Vic Mignogna
Directed by James Kerwin

Notes

  • A direct sequel to the TOS episode “Mirror, Mirror“.
  • Kipleigh Brown plays “Smith” – she was in official Star Trek some years ago, in the Star Trek Enterprise episode “The Forgotten“.
  • Bobby Clark appears as council leader Tharn.  He was in the original Mirror Mirror episode as Chekov’s guard, plus he was the guy in the Gorn suit in “Arena“.
  • Michael Dorn plays the ship’s computer on the ISS Enterprise – he is of course Worf.
  • By the time this episode was released, “proper” Star Trek had already revisited the Mirror Universe 7 times (5 in Deep Space Nine, 2 in Enterprise), but none of them dealt with the direct after effects of the original TOS Mirror Mirror episode like this.
  • The STC people stylized their series logo to fit with the “mirror universe”.
  • They also changed the title sequence so Kirk’s “Space, the final frontier” speech is altered.  It is now “Space – the final conquest. These are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise. It’s continuing mission – to discover and subjugate strange new worlds. To advance our dominion and vanquish all that stand before us to conquer the galaxy for the glory of the empire.”
  • In the blooper reel for this, Grant Imahara breaks out George Takei’s “Oh myyyyyy” which is funny as hell.  Link below.

A direct sequel to TOS' "Mirror Mirror" that shows what happens to Mirror Spock after proper Kirk returns to his universe. I won't spoil the story, but this is a major high point of STC, IMO. pic.twitter.com/NcPgODgC4h

This was the first STC ep I saw. It hooked me immediately. I remember thinking "Holy F is this sweet - always wanted to know what happened". Now I do. If you watch one STC, make it this one. pic.twitter.com/9pJm4y98Wi

A question for the STC folks, since I know y'all are reading these.. Had there been more STC, was there ever a plan to follow this up? The way it ends really sets up a sequel. pic.twitter.com/8dVfRvxqEf

( I had several more screenshots I wanted to use, but I also didn’t want to spoil the ending, which some of them would definitely do )
