Legion

This Story: Season 6, Episode 2
Overall: Story 32, Episode 32
Airdate: 14 Oct 1993
Written by Rob Grant & Doug Naylor
Directed by Andy De Emmony

Notes

  • This episode Rimmer’s hologram gets upgraded from soft light to “hard light”, which means he can touch things.  He’s also nearly indestructible as while he can feel pain and pleasure, he can’t be physically destroyed.
  • Lister has an appendectomy in this episode, but earlier in the series he mentioned already having it taken out.
  • The best “Space Core Directive” of ’em all comes from this one.  Space Core Directive 34124 – No officer with false teeth should attempt oral sex in zero gravity.

#RedDwarfMarathon Ep 32 - Legion - 14 Oct 1993 2/2 away. There's some fun physical comedy here. First is a dining scene & then one with cartoon violence. That's because Rimmer's hologram is upgraded to (indestructible) "hard light". There's a scene where they test that.
