#DoctorWhoMarathon Ep 14 - "The Roof Of the World" (1/7 - Serial D, Story 4) - 22 Feb 1964. #DoctorWho 3/3 in China in 1289, and are taken in by Marco Polo's caravan, who is on the way to see Kublai Khan. Makes use of Barbara's history knowledge. Even in still screenshots it looks great. :)

#DoctorWhoMarathon Ep 15 - "The Singing Sands" (2/7 - Serial D, Story 4) - 29 Feb 1964. #DoctorWho Marco's warrior Tegana plots against Marco and the Tardis crew to capture the "magic box" and defeat Kublai Khan. Much of the plot is about Tegana sabotaging their water supply. A tad slow in places.

#DoctorWhoMarathon Ep 16 - "Five Hundred Eyes" (3/7 - Serial D, Story 4) - 7 Mar 1964. #DoctorWho The Doctor solves the water problem (enjoyed this part), and the group carries on. They get to a city where they rest and there's more plotting to expose them as frauds by Tegana, who captures Barbara.

#DoctorWhoMarathon Ep 17 - "The Wall of Lies" (4/7 - Serial D, Story 4) - 14 Mar 1964. #DoctorWho Barbara is rescued and Tegana continues trying to sow mistrust. It mostly works, as Marco Polo also plots to dispose of the crew too. I really liked the pacing of this episode. Would LOVE the real ep.

#DoctorWhoMarathon Ep 18 - "Rider from Shang-Tu" (5/7 - Serial D, Story 4) - 21 Mar 1964. #DoctorWho After fending off some attackers to their caravan, Marco and crew are summoned to Kublai Khan's place posthaste. The crew continue to try and get their Tardis keys from Marco. Slow middle ep IMO.

#DoctorWhoMarathon Ep 20 - "Assassin at Peking" (7/7 - Serial D, Story 4) - 4 Apr 1964. #DoctorWho 2/2 the Khan. When he fails, Marco fights Tegana, who eventually kills himself after failing. Marco gives the Doctor the Tardis keys, and the crew escape. REALLY wish they would recover this one.

#DoctorWhoMarathon Ep 19 - "Mighty Kublai Khan" (6/7 - Serial D, Story 4) - 28 Mar 1964. #DoctorWho The Tardis crew almost escape, but got stuck because Susan wasn't where she should be. Most of this ep is taken up by a search for Ping-Cho & finding the now stolen Tardis. Liked the finale setup.
