Notes
- Features the first appearance in the prime TV show for both K9 & Sarah Jane Smith since 1983’s “The Five Doctors“. (That assumes you don’t count Dimensions in Time as canonical).
- The K9 that appeared here (K9 Mk III) was with Sarah Jane because she was given him as a gift by the Doctor in the lone episode of the failed spinoff attempt “K9 & Company“.
- The real world K9 prop used here at the end for K9 Mk IV was the same prop that was built for “The Invisible Enemy” in the 70’s, just refurbished. The K9 Mk III prop that sacrifices himself was a new model built to look distressed over time.

My fav ep of the series. Can't lie - nostalgia is thru the roof, but it's not all that. This brings back Sarah Jane Smith & K9. But the best part by far was the discussion that 10 & pic.twitter.com/LHsuA2rv4R
