- There’s an amusing reference to the “Corbomite device” from “The Corbomite Maneuver” here.
- They had the Romulans fire that device the destroyed the outpost in Corbomite Maneuver. I guess we should ignore that. It’s there in both the original and updated SFX.

I never much cared for this one - I always felt it was just an excuse to "let's age our characters and see what they look like". The plot wasn't terribly interesting to me, and this rewatch did't change that. pic.twitter.com/0fxE9xkwdp

Most of the ep is a race against time to prevent the aging crew members from dying of old age in days. Watching Kirk degenerate was better than I remember, but the ep still has kind of a "I don't care" feel. pic.twitter.com/n03rZV0xnf
