- The actor who played Hugo Lang (Kevin McNally) was in Doctor Who again much later on. He appeared as Professor Jericho in the Jodie Whittaker story, “Village of the Angels” (2021).
- The first time a new Doctor’s first full story happened not at the start of the series since Patrick Troughton’s “The Power of the Daleks” in 1966.

One interesting fact, the actor who plays Hugo Lang here turned up in Who much later in Jodie Whittaker's Flux series as Prof Jericho. The Doctor seems to start to stabilize somewhat, but pic.twitter.com/Z25F9ysSKq
