On Christmas, I wrote this..

Unfortunately, due to the excessive amount of comment spam I’ve been getting (I got about 300 in a two hour period over Christmas day), I’ve had to temporarily turn off comments. I really didn’t want to do that, but I’m really sick and tired of deleting all the garbage spam.
Well, I spent some of today looking at the problem again, and I’ve opened up the public comments again with an attempt to resolve the problem. It may not work – it may. I’ll find out.

However, if it doesn’t stop (or at least slow down), I might have to resort to requiring people to have Typekey accounts to post comments – it’s free, go register at http://www.typekey.com.
