Notes
- This is the first episode with (proper) Kochanski in it since Series 2 Episode 4. It’s also the last time that Claire Grogan plays the character. When we next see Kochanski in Series 7, she’s played by someone else. Kochanski is not actually physically here, it was a trick by the titular Psirens to tempt Lister.
- The character (Captain Tau) who appears with Kochanski is in real life Anita Dobson. She is the wife of Queen guitarist Brian May (although they were just dating when this episode was being made). Additionally Dobson has played “Mrs. Flood” in the Ncuti Gatwa era of Doctor Who.
- That captain name was the same name of the captain (Tau) in the first of the two USA pilots.
- The first episode without both the Red Dwarf ship & Holly until late in Series 7.

#RedDwarfMarathon Ep 31 - Psirens - 7 Oct 1993 2/2 temptations for Cat & Lister are pretty darned funny. OG Kochanski appears for the final time. The bit with two Listers on Starbug is a riot, too. The best one is how Kryten was tempted and being turned into a trash cube.
