A Diploma of Miseries

This Story: Series 2 Episode 4
Airdate: 29 Sep 1994
Written by Geoff Deane
Directed John Birkin

Notes

  • After this episode, the show took a week off for a reason I don’t know in 2024.  :)
  • Gustave LaRoche is not in this episode, either.
  • This was the first episode of the series not written by Peter Tilbury (who wrote all the other Series 2 episodes).  It was written by Geoff Deane, who also wrote half the episodes in Series 3.

We're back on the "let's get Gareth to promote the restaurant" plot line again. This is the 11th episode & the third time we're doing this. The angle is different though as Gareth gets along with the host, but goes pic.twitter.com/LcG3ECF0hk

out his way to trash his wife on telly, which causes problems. Has to spend time coming to grips with what he did - some at Everton's flat. This ep wasn't super funny, but I enjoyed the character development here. pic.twitter.com/YAgKrXd7aK
