Notes

• While Alexander Singer directed both parts, they were written by different people.
• There was a novel made out of the two parts of this story, which is long out of print at this point.  Here’s a link to it on Amazon.com.
• Apparently it was over 100 degrees F filming Part II, so shout out to the Borg extras for bearing that.
• The prop Lore was using right before his deactivation was the same prop from “Chain of Command Part I“.
• Jonathan Del Arco reprises his role as Hugh.  He was seen in Part I, but that was just reused footage from “I, Borg“.
• Del Arco would later reprise the role of Hugh in three episodes of Star Trek Picard’s first season in 2020.
• Data’s ability to mimic the voices of other people used here again.
• This episode revises a storyline from the Season 6 episode “Suspicions” regarding metaphasic shields.
• The final episode for the character of Lore.  Lore is mentioned a few times in the future.  First in the Star Trek: Nemesis movie, and second in Star Trek Picard’s third season episode “The Bounty“.  That one actually brings back Data, B-4, Lal, & Lore all at once, which I quite liked.
• The Bluesky posts for this episode say “Episode 152”.  That is an error. They should be 153.  (I made the error in the episode before this, and didn’t discover it until the episode after this).
