Notes
- The flute song from “The Inner Light” reappears here as well as the events of the episode being told.
- While not directly, the feeling Picard has at the end of this episode ties into his feeling of loneliness in “Star Trek: Generations”.
- The first appearance of stellar cartography is in this episode, although it’s far more simple than it appears in Star Trek: Generations (its next appearance).
