Notes

• The first episode with Wallace Shaun as Zek. Shaun is also known as Rex in the Toy Story franchise, Dr Sturgis in Young Sheldon, & of course Vizzini in Pricess Bride.
• The first appearance of the “Rules of Acquisition” in Star Trek.
• The music for this episode was composed by John Debney, who has done a lot of stuff, but for me is known for the music for the Doctor Who 1996 TV Movie.
• The face on the Grand Nagus’ staff was designed to look like Armin Shimerman.
• Several scenes in this episode were homages to “The Godfather”.
• The only appearance to Zek’s son Krax.  He’s never mentioned again.
• O’Brien returns in this episode.  In real life, Colm Meaney was off filming a movie.  He missed three episodes doing that.
• O’Brien’s daughter Molly is said to be 3, which contradicts how much time has passed in real life since the episode aired that she was born in.
• The only episode in the entire series where Morn opens his mouth (as he’s laughing).
• In the scene where O’Brien is in his wife’s classroom, you can see an Ornithoid, which is a reference to the TOS episode “Catspaw“.
• The first episode we see Sisko with a baseball glove (and a baseball).
