Notes
- Running fired torpedo count: 18 / Confirmed crew deaths since pilot: 12 (crew of 142).
- The first episode directed by Voyager cast member Robert Picardo. He’d direct one other – “One Small Step“.
- The first time we see kal-toh in Voyager.
- The setup for the episode “Blood Fever” occurs here with Vorik.
- The first time the Doctor’s mobile emitter is used for a hologram besides the Doctor here for the first time.
- Sandra Nelson plays Marayna here. She was also the Klingon Tavana in the DS9 episode “Soldiers of the Empire“.
- There is a reference to the TNG episodes “Elementary, Dear Data” & “Ship in a Bottle“. While not naming him, Chakotay & Kim reference the James Moriarty hologram program, likening Marayna to him.
