Gridlock

This Story: Series 3, Story 3. Production Code 3.3
Overall: Story 182, Episode 733
Airdate: 14 Apr 2007
Written by Russell T Davies
Directed by Richard Clark

Notes

  • The Macra reappar here.  This is only the second time they have been seen in the series, the other time being the 1967 Patrick Troughton serial, “The Macra Terror“.  Although here they’re a mindless threat unlike their original appearance where they were the primary villain.

A super fun story! The Doctor & Martha are separated right away and we spend nearly the entire ep trying to get 'em back together. Filled with fun characters, and an odd situation where pic.twitter.com/9SVfAXrtsx

people spend a lifetime in a giant traffic jam. Brings back a 60's #DoctorWho villain (The Macra). Great dive into Gallifrey when the Doctor describes it to Martha. Face of Boe dies. LOVED THIS! #yana pic.twitter.com/k0438lkqRg
