Notes
- The Borg are mentioned here as a reason for preparedness, but they are not seen.
- This episode presents the first look at the inside of a non-Galaxy-class Federation starship since “The Battle”. It is notable for featuring the series’ only shots of a Constellation-class’s main engineering section. They call it a Constellation class, but that’s what Kirk’s ship was in the original series. This doesn’t look like that.
- The ship set was used later on in “Yesterday’s Enterprise” as the bridge of NCC-1701C.
- The Ferengi captain is played by Armin Shimerman, who of course will later go on to play Quark on Deep Space Nine.
- One of my favorite lines comes from this.. “It is possible to make no mistakes and still lose.”
