Notes
- Penny Johnson appears here as a villager named Dobara. She was more well known in Trek as Cassidy Yates, the girlfriend of Ben Sisko on Deep Space Nine. Several other of the villagers went on to appear as other background characters in other Trek series as well.
- The first time Michael Dorn appears in Star Trek without his usual Klingon makeup. I believe the only other time was Deep Space Nine’s “Far Beyond the Stars“.
- The planet footage was reused from “Sins of the Father” where there it was Qo’noS.
- The only episode where we see Worf’s adopted brother (Nikolai). He is the biological son of Worf’s adoptive parents Sergey and Helena Rozhenko and is played by the late actor Paul Sorvino.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek TNG Ep 165 - Homeward - 17 Jan 1994 2/2 OK, but not the best ep. Kind of bummed we got Worf's (human) brother but neither of their parents. Picard seemed to want to sacrifice the people on the planet too easily - it mirrors plot of Insurrection at points. Forgettable.
