Notes

• The first episode in any incarnation of Star Trek for Section 31.
• The first of three episodes with Luther Sloan (William Sadler).
• Sadler was in one of my favorite movies of all time – The Shawshank Redemption.  He was Heywood, one of the regular prisoners we saw in that movie.
• The Section 31 holodeck in this episode is in real life the Voyager holodeck set.
• Bashir’s behavior in several past episodes is brought up – “Hippocratic Oath“, “In Purgatory’s Shadow“, “By Inferno’s Light“, & “Statistical Probabilities“.
• The place Bashir is going at the start of the episode (Casperia Prime) is the same place that Jadzia wanted to have her honeymoon at a couple of episodes prior.m
