Notes
- Running fired torpedo count: 40 / Confirmed crew deaths since pilot: 19 (crew of 140 (my count says 134)).
- The titular Drone here (named “One”) was played by J Paul Boehmer. He also plays a Nazi SS character named “Kapitan” in “The Killing Game” (Parts 1 & 2). He’s also a Cardassian named Vernal in DS9’s “Tacking Into the Wind“, the Vulcan Mestral in Enterprise’s “Carbon Creek“, and two different Nazi SS characters in the Enterprise episodes “Zero Hour” and “Storm Front“.
- Only the second time we see a Borg Sphere (after the first one in First Contact).
- It is not stated how the Voyager crew are able to regain the Doctor’s mobile emitter at the end of this episode as he has it for all subsequent episodes (and survives into the continuity of the Starfleet Academy series).
- The groundwork is laid here for the creation of the new type of shuttle (the Delta Flyer) in the next episode.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Voyager Ep 96 - Drone - 21 Oct 1998 2/2 best part of all this is that it casts Seven in a mother role - something new for her. I QUITE liked the performances of Seven and "One" here. A lot of drama about One and the danger of the existing collective. Emotional ending.
