Renaissance Man

This Story: Season 7 Episode 24 (production code 270)
VOY Overall: Episode 170
Trek Overall: Story 591, Episode 626
Airdate: 16 May 2001
Story by Andrew Price & Mark Gaberman
Teleplay by Phyllis Strong & Mike Sussman
Directed by Mike Vejar

Notes

  • Running fired torpedo count: 79. This contradicts the hard limit set in “The Cloud” of 38.
  • The final appearance of Alexander Enberg as Vorik.
  • The last appearances of both the Delta Flyer & the regular shuttle in the series.
  • Nar is played Andy Milder.  He was also Boq’ta in the DS9 episode “Empok Nor“.
  • There is a “mutara class nebula” mentioned here – this is the same kind from Wrath of Khan.
  • The Overlooker was played by JR Quinonez.  He was in numerous episodes as Robert Picardo’s stand-in.
  • I believe this is the first time we see the morgue on Voyager.
  • ADMIN NOTE: I did this episode the same day I did the prior, as I didn’t want to do the finale on Wed 15 Jun 2026 – that’s the day of my grandmother’s funeral.  Didn’t think I’d be up for a two part Voyager that day.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Voyager Episode 170 - Renaissance Man - 16 May 2001 2/2 irrational until you find out why. There's some amusing scenes when the Doctor is impersonating crewmembers. It's got a whodunnit feel to it without being that. Far better than I remembered - enjoyed the mystery.

My prior physical copies of Star Trek: Voyager looked this way.
