  • Running Decon Gel Scene Appearances: Trip (1), T’Pol (1) – none this episode.

  • The inside of the ECS Fortunate was just Enterprise sets redressed.
  • This episode is the first in universe meeting with the Nausicans who have appeared in other incarnations before.

  • First Officer Ryan was played by Lawrence Monoson.  He was also Hovath in the DS9 episode “The Storyteller“.
  • A Nausican prisoner was placed by D. Elliot Woods.  He was also an unnamed Starfleet officer in Star Trek: Insurrection, as well as an unnamed Klingon officer in the DS9 episode “Sons of Mogh“.
  • Shaw is played by Kieran Mulroney.  He was also Benzan in the TNG episode “The Outrageous Okona“.  He is the real life brother of Dermot Mulroney.
  • The Nausicaan captain was played by Danny Goldring.  He was also Legate Kell in DS9’s “Civil Defense“, Chief Burke in DS9’s “Nor the Battle to the Strong“, Karr in both parts of “The Killing Game“, and a Takret Captain in the episode “The Catwalk“.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Enterprise Episode 10 - Fortunate Son - 21 Nov 2001 2/2 shallow a story as that. In reading about this, it was intended to be a story about the culture about "Space Boomers". As such there's a bunch of Travis Mayweather here (a rarity). A solid and enjoyable ep for me.
