Notes
- The comic in the holodeck is Joe Piscopo, famous for early 80’s Saturday Night Live. At various times I’ve read the character was also supposed to be Jerry Lewis and/or Robin Williams.
- No appearance by Dr. Pulaski in this episode.
- Teri Hatcher appears in this episode as “B.G. Robinson” (transporter chief), but her name was removed from the credits at her own request (apparently as she was dissatisfied with the amount of screen time she received).
- The character of Okona (and its actor Billy Campbell) returned in three separate episodes of Star Trek: Prodigy (“Crossroads“, “Masquerade“, & “Cracked Mirror“) – the latter of which was a mirror universe episode.

The Ent comes across a freighter captained by Okona, who the ep describes as a "rogue". He gets them involved in a local situation between two planets. This one is just kind of "there". Not really bad pic.twitter.com/ol0ZOJQ802

but nothing hugely memorable. Data explores the concept of comedy here and calls up a comedian in the holodeck - Joe Piscopo (I've read might also have been Jerry Lewis or Robin Williams). Yeah, meh. pic.twitter.com/6KCLv2LiU5
