• Running Decon Gel Scene Appearances: T’Pol (3), Trip (2), Hoshi (2), Malcolm (1), Archer (1), Porthos (1). One each this episode for Archer, Hoshi, T’Pol, & Porthos!
• There are actually two decon scenes in this episode, but the second is a dream by Archer, so I’m not counting it in the count above.
• This episode was nominated for a Hugo Award for “Best Dramatic Presentation, Short Form”.
• The Kreetassan Captain was played by show regular guest, Vaughn Armstrong who has played about 6,500 different characters in various incarnations of Star Trek.   It is apparently meant to be the same character that appeared in the episode “Vox Sola“.
• Two different beagles played Porthos in this episode.  In addition, there were two props when the dog was in various unconscious states in sickbay.
• Archer’s love of water polo pops up here again.
• Phlox’s toenails are gross.  :)
