Notes
- Running Decon Gel Scene Appearances: T’Pol (3), Trip (2), Hoshi (2), Malcolm (1), Archer (1), Porthos (1). None this episode. There is a decon scene with three aliens, but we only see them walking out, so I’m not counting that.
- The last episode to air in the year 2002.
- Events of this episode are recalled in the episode “Horizon“.
- The only appearance in the series of the character known as “Chef”. He was portrayed by Richard Sarstedt. He was a regular Enterprise cast member and played numerous background (unnamed) characters. The only other time we see the character he’s played by Jonathan Frakes’ Riker in a holodeck program in the series finale.
- T’Pol mentions she went through the Vulcan ritual of “kahs-wan”. This had been seen prior in the TAS episode “Yesteryear“.
- Rellus Tagrim was played by Scott Burkholder. He was also Hilliard in the DS9 episode “When it Rains…“
- The Takret captain was played by Danny Goldring. He was also Legate Kell in DS9’s “Civil Defense“, Chief Burke in DS9’s “Nor the Battle to the Strong“, Karr in both parts of “The Killing Game“, and a Nausicaan Captain in “Fortunate Son”.
- Guri was played by Aaron Lustig. He was also a Banean doctor in Voyager’s “Ex Post Facto“.
- Paltini was played by Brian Cousins. He was also the Romulan Parem in TNG’s “The Final Phase” and the Borg drone Crosis in both parts of TNG’s “Descent“.
- Elizabeth Magness returns as her Enterprise crew member character. She previously appeared in the episode “Minefield“.
- The visual effects of the storm looked a lot to me like the shock wave from the start of Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.

It's another low stakes ep, but one filled with a TON of exposition giving us insight into the characters. A damaging storm is approaching (as they do), and to take refuge, the crew has to go hang out

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Enterprise Episode 38 - The Catwalk - 18 Dec 2002 2/2in the warp nacelles, but with engines shut down. As they ride it out, there's a lot of personal interchanges - and we get to see "Chef" for the only time (Riker notwithstanding). Also a subplot w/aliens for drama.
