- This is the fourth of six episodes that comprise a story arc about the war and the station being controlled by the Dominion/Dukat. While not an actual six part story, it is fairly tightly bound together and from the DS9 companion book, they were all created together, then the writers went off and wrote their episodes.
- This is the eighth of 10 episodes of DS9 directed by LeVar Burton.
- This episode was originally titled “Life During Wartime”.
- Damar’s fascination with drinking was supposed to show his conflict with what the Dominion was doing. He also gets a promotion this episode to Gul.
- One of Dax’s missions here takes the Defiant to the Argolis cluster. This was visited in the TNG episodes “I, Borg” & “True Q“.

#StarTrekMarathon Deep Space Nine Ep 128 - Behind the Lines - 20Oct 1997 2/2 critical point, prevents Odo from helping, getting Rom arrested. The other part involves destroying a comms cluster the Dominion has. A great ep, building both the overall arc, and telling a great individual story, too.
