- Features the return of James Sloyan as Dr. Mora Pol for the second time after appearing previously in “The Alternate“. It is also his final appearance in the series.
- The shot where the baby changeling attempts to mimic Odo’s face was not CGI. It was an assistant director with a stocking on his head covered with some sort of gel.
- The events of the TNG episode “Disaster” are briefly referenced here.
- There are only two episodes after this one with Keiko. One is Season 6’s “Time’s Orphan“, and briefly in the series finale.
- Jadzia Dax does not appear in this episode – the first one where she does not.
