Paris? Jamaica?

This Story: Series 3 Episode 6
Airdate: 30 Dec 1996
Written by Paul Makin
Directed by Demi Humphreys

Notes

  • When this originally aired, there was no title card, I didn’t find out the actual episode title (properly) until I got the DVD many years later.
  • The last episode of Series 3, and the overall series finale.
  • While technically not a two parter, this episode directly follows the prior episode.
  • The only episode of Series 3 that touches on Gustave’s alcoholism which was in every episode from Series 2, and here it’s not even directly addressed.

The series finale has Gareth face a choice - go to Jamaica with Rochelle from the last ep, or go to Jamaica with his newly pregnant wife to whom he's separated with. That's the main focus here, and while other characters pic.twitter.com/v3HX265ChH

get time, it's a very finny linear plot. In the end he goes with his wife, who seem reconnected due to events. I adored this show & always wished there was a fourth series, but it was never to be, sadly. #SeriousProfession pic.twitter.com/FwZAXQR060
