- This episode follows up events from the episode “Defiant“.
- The first Star Trek two parter where the two parts weren’t just “Part 1 & Part 2”.
- This wasn’t originally scripted to be a two parter, but it was changed to be when the producers felt the OG ending wasn’t good enough, so they expanded things and turned it into two parts.
- The debut of new Romulan uniforms, which to this point had mostly been the same as we’d seen since they started on TNG.
- Quark (and Jake) do not appear in this episode.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Deep Space Nine Ep 66 - Improbable Cause - 24 Apr 1995 2/2 move against the Dominion. This brings in the Obsidian Order, lots of Cardassian background, following up events from "Defiant". One of the best eps of DS9 - the first part of a two parter. Great Garak stuff.
