The Quickening

This Story: Season 4 Episode 24 (production code 495)
DS9 Overall: Episode 96
Trek Overall: Story 356, Episode 377
Airdate: 20 May 1996
Writer: Naren Shankar (& René Echevarria – uncredited)
Director: René Auberjonois

Notes

  • The fourth of eight episodes directed by Odo actor René Auberjonois.
  • The picture of Quark on Worf’s mug was taken from a photo shoot for the DS9 pilot, which is why Quark looks a bit different.
  • The events of this episode are recalled in the episode “Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges“.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Deep Space Nine Ep 96 - The Quickening - 20 May 1996 1/2 A "medical dilemma" ep. They almost always play out the same way across Trek incarnations, so they don't do a ton for me. Even this ending which isn't quite to form was eh. The only one of these I really DID like

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Deep Space Nine Ep 96 - The Quickening - 20 May 1996 2/2 was one on Enterprise with Phlox. The performances were the thing here, which were good. There was a funny small side gag about Quark and ads for his bar on the station screens I liked. But overall.. eh.
