- This episode was a direct attempt to replicate what happened in DS9’s “Duet“. Only this time not with Nazi allegories, but the bombing of Hiroshima & Nagasaki.
- The first time the Doctor is shown to use his power to shut himself off – something that was set up a few episodes back.
- James Sloyan played the titular Jetrel here. He also played Romulan Admiral Jarok in TNG’s “The Defector“. He was Dr. Mora Pel in two DS9 episodes (“The Alternate” & “The Begotten“). Finally, he was the older version of Worf’s son Alexander Rozhenko in TNG’s “Firstborn“.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Voyager Ep 15 - Jetrel - 15 May 1995 2/2 not want to do that, and there's a struggle to convince him to go with the Doctor. A great performance by Ethan Phillips, who isn't always given serious stuff to do. Reminded me a bunch of DS9's "Duet" - I really enjoyed this.
