This is a story I never cared for in the past. I don't actively hate it, but it never did anything for me. Can't even tell you why. See if this rewatch changes anything. pic.twitter.com/fqPb858bh9

Ep1 here has a nice pacing/feel - it's obviously setup, but the mystery of what's going on isn't obvious. Also some big bluster from he political blowhard is a big thing here. pic.twitter.com/i3jwDw3axu

The red tape from ep1 escalates as Chin arrests the UNIT folks including the Brig. Most of this ep has a political angle to it - not current real life politics, but internal pic.twitter.com/R4Ufpw6fpR

to the story stuff. Different vibe from ep1 which was almost exploratory. The Master is in this story, but he's mostly self contained. Good cliffhanger w/new elements to story. pic.twitter.com/xpQeHCpJs7

#DoctorWhoMarathon Ep 291 - The Claws of Axos 3/4 (Serial GGG, Story 57) - 27 Mar 1971. #DoctorWho 1/2

This ep has pissed off Brigadier; one of my fav versions of the character. It also has one of my least fav versions of Jo - the "shouty" version. The Axon plan is revealed. pic.twitter.com/RSZ4sfHNCq

They want to "suck the life" out of everything on Earth; they're like space leeches. The Doctor works to stop it all. At end of ep the Master finally interacts w/others. pic.twitter.com/2MHmFrJVek

The Master tries to destroy Axos, but it doesn't work, but it allows the Doctor & Jo to escape. The Master & the Doctor eventually figure out a plan to defeat Axos. pic.twitter.com/xJnM7rmVm8

While I enjoyed this more than in the past, it still feels "eh". It's not bad at all, but the Axon threat reminds of other similar stories in the past which played out better. pic.twitter.com/UHKhNBa3bo

Gotta love this super serious looking “Top Secret” document.Looks like something elementary school kids would do.

Somehow I doubt the Main Research Reactor would have a sign on it identifying it as such.
